OK so are all my City friend's mouth still hanging open? Who knew I would fal in love with chickens? They each have their own personalty . Rae stepped into the run and a little rooster ran up to her all posturing, it was all we could do not to fall over laughing. We handle them every day so they are accustomed to us. There is a variety of Bantams, Reds, Buff Orpington, Wyndottes , Barred Plymouth Rocks, oh the list goes on. Remember the 24? It is now up to 40!!! Yikes, did I mention the ducklings? Some of the chickens will be meat in the freezer, no really not all chicken comes on a Styrofoam container! Most will be for eggs.
These are not in order. This was the chicks first day out, we have a little play yard set up.
You know she should know not to look up when she is sitting in a chicken run and I have a camera!
This is Timothy, both of Rae's cats like the chicks I just hope lunch bels don't go off.
The chicks were just a week old here cute huh?
So now I am looking into building a small coop enclosure so I can bring some of them home. Rae is building a Chicken Mansion, I just want a cottage. Dennis is starting to accept the idea or maybe just ignore it I am not sure:). There is lots of scrap lumber around so I think I can do it.Wish me luck stop back by.
